fullonline: Who is "Vibe Tribe", where you are from and what is your musical background? Why do you choose this name to the project?

Vibe Tribe: Vibe Tribe is Stas & Elmar, we are from Israel.

fullonline: Are you married and/or have kids?

Vibe Tribe: Not yet, thanks God

fullonline: Can you keep a comfortable lifestyle working only as a psychedelic artist or a second job is needed?

Vibe Tribe: Yes, music is our life.

fullonline: Which one of your own music do you like the most? Does it have a special meaning to you?

Vibe Tribe: We love every new tune the most, because we try to get better and better from each track we finish.

fullonline: What other music style do you listen to?

Vibe Tribe: Well, I listen mostly only to electronic music, from Prodigy to Madonna (her new music is very, very well produced) and Elmar is more open minded to all kinds of music.

fullonline: Is there any equipment you think can help you produce better music?

Vibe Tribe: Today all you need is a good pair of monitors, powerful pc & sound card and a midi keyboard.
We don't use much hardware, we have some , but we use mostly virtual instruments.

fullonline: Do you prefer to play at parties at any specific time?

Vibe Tribe: Our music fits more to the morning times, so that what we prefer because that's the kind of music we are making

fullonline: Your debut album Melodrama was a great mark on the melodic side of full on. Energetic, but still melodic and funky... Talk about the process of creation of this masterpiece.

Vibe Tribe: Our new album "Wise Cracks" will be out in 2 weeks so......

fullonline: Talk about your work together with Utopia Records. What do you think about your home label?

Vibe Tribe: We are happy, its our home, utopia records is like a small family.

fullonline: You released tracks on more than 10 labels. What is your relationship with these labels? How do you choose the label you want to submit your track?

Vibe Tribe: Usually labels come to ask or Utopia Records asking for a track for their compilation, in the beginning of our career, we were approaching labels and offering our music when no one knew us.

fullonline: Your new album Vibe Tribe - Wise Cracks is the most expected release of Utopia Records this year. What should we expect from this release?

Vibe Tribe: The album will be a lot more interesting, a lot more different and new things, it has a lot of everything, and it approaches to much bigger crowds. We know the cover may be look weird to some people, but we really tried to go with something that wasn't made before, new, fresh and clean and simple design. The world is tired of the same old overused psychedelic colorful covers. That's our opinion. And we know some people will disagree with us. But again, every person has its own flavor

fullonline: Besides the new album what are your future releases, and what are the labels you're currently working with?

Vibe Tribe: We have lots of new things to work on and lots of interesting remixes and combinations with other artists... But let's keep it as a surprise mean time

fullonline: What do you think makes a good remix? How would you describe a remix? Should we expect any new remix from you in the future?

Vibe Tribe: I think take the original track to other direction is a good remix "tell the story in your way". Not just change the kick & bass and some more sounds...
About the Shakawkaw... That track was played in any dance floor at his time. We took a real masterpiece by Infected Mushroom, and made it in our way... As a full on dance floor bomb
About the Sperminator, pretty much the same story, we took a great track from X-Noize, and made it in our way

fullonline: What do you think about people sharing music through mp3 instead of buying it?

Vibe Tribe: I think you cant do nothing against it, and if a person download our album , and latter goes and buy it, we don't have a problem with it.

fullonline: I know Vibe Tribe's Live Acts are never the same, you're always making it different. How do you prepare your unique Live Acts? What you usually chance in each different Live Act?

Vibe Tribe: We use Ableton Live as the main software, and always trying to make some new stuff, and every party we make a different Live with different mix and everything. We play usually the new stuff and the unreleased in the live, because if you play it in the DJ set, people may not know if its an Vibe Tribe tune.

fullonline: You prefer to play a DJ set or a Live Act? Why?

Vibe Tribe: Live and after a DJ set

fullonline: In your DJ sets you usually play tracks from which other artists? What is the difference between a DJ Set from Stas and a DJ Set from Elmar?

Vibe Tribe: We play lots of stuff, any good track no matter who made it, a lot of our friends music and our music, and some usually big names & dance floor hits.

fullonline: What makes a good party? You think decoration is important?

Vibe Tribe: The people and the vibe of the party, we played in small parties with bad sound system and bad deco, but with amazing people and vibe, and we played in big events with big sounds systems and decos, but with no vibe.....
So the bottom line is: It's all about the people and the vibe they make!

fullonline: What do you think people should do to make a better scene? Any visions about the future?

Vibe Tribe: Bigger, more mainstream... That's what's going to be with trance in the future.

fullonline: How long does it take for you to make a new track, from the ideas and inspirations to the dance floor? Any hint for a person who is starting making psytrance?

Vibe Tribe: Some time its 3 months, and some time its 3 days, its changes from track to track , some time we delete all we make 5 times in a track and some times its just perfect from first time.
About tips... its takes time, you can't start make music and produce amazing tunes after 1 month, so be patient, and don't give up!

fullonline: What is your favorite psychoactive molecule?

Vibe Tribe: We are addicted to MacDonald's.
