fullonline: Who is "Phanatic", where you are from and what is your musical background? Why do you choose this name to the project?

Phanatic: Hello all!
Phanatic Is Kfir Lankry 21 years old from the Sunny Southern City in Israel called Dimona . I'm producing music from the age of 13 and I don't think I will stop soon :D.

fullonline: Are you married and/or have kids?

Phanatic: I'm not married (yet ) and don't have any kids, but in the future for sure I want a beautiful wife :D (maybe Brazilian ) with kids.

fullonline: Can you keep a comfortable lifestyle working only as a psychedelic artist or a second job is needed?

Phanatic: I feel pretty comfortable with this kind if lifestyle. I don't think I can have second job... I give 100% from my self to music no time for anything.

fullonline: What is on your CD player right now?

Phanatic: Well its depend in the timing , at night I'm Listening to Shpongle "Nothing Lasts" (the album) I just love this album , sometimes I'm listening to Depeche mode etc.. and many more.

fullonline: Which one of your own music do you like the most? Does it have a special meaning to you?

Phanatic: Humm, I like them all they are my babies. :D You can't ask a mother which child she like the most? hehehehe so all of them are my favorites...

fullonline: What other music style do you listen to?

Phanatic: I like to hear Depeche Mode ,Abakus, Israeli Music, hip hop, etc..

fullonline: What Psytrance Artists would you like to work with?

Phanatic: I would like to work with every artist I think the knowledge of both (or more) can make a good combination... But there couple of artist that I really admire like Space Cat! For me he is one of the biggest artists today! He is one of the fathers of our scene, RESPECT!

fullonline: A lot of people want to know why you and Didy (Bizzare Contact) split. I think it's positive, because now we have two projects instead of only one. What are your opinions about it?

Phanatic: Hehehe, well it's a very long story, but we split from professional way... But, hey, look at the bright side You have 2 killer projects now , our relationship are pretty good we are good friends like always and we even make a new track for my upcoming album.

fullonline: Is there any equipment you think can help you produce better music?

Phanatic: I think that you can make everything with computer and virtual synths (for sure you'll need monitors and a good soundcard as well) for me the equipment is just a bonus.

fullonline: Do you prefer to play at parties at any specific time?

Phanatic: I love to play in the sunrise... When the sun is shining and the moon is going to the other side of the world then the good life atmosphere is shining people smiling and everything is beautiful.

fullonline: Talk about your work together with Utopia Records. What do you think about your home label?

Phanatic: Well, Utopia Records is a pretty good home for me... All the artists there were my friends before I joined , I knew Ido (Utopia manager) before as well... About the booking I pretty glad I already played in many big festivals and lots of countries without my debut album... It's a good sign don't you think?

fullonline: You released tracks on a lot of labels. What is your relationship with these labels? How do you choose the label you want to submit your track?

Phanatic: It's good to be in good relationship with everybody! Not just with the label managers...
About how I choosing them... well I'm not really choosing them I have for this a label manager who makes my booking and even sale my tracks.

fullonline: Your debut album "Phanatic - In my Mind" is about to be released by Utopia Records. What should we expect from this release?

Phanatic: Well, I expect many things from my debut album, like people will loved it and support it, I want to hear my music playing around the globe and for sure I want to see smiles when I play my music .
I can say that my music is morning fullon mixed with groovy sounds and lots of psychedelic emotions.

fullonline: What do you think makes a good remix? How would you describe a remix? As far as I remember you haven't released any remixes, should we expect a remix from you in the future?

Phanatic: For me a good remix is to open new page (from Cubase) and start build it from the beginning, BUT in your style then the sound even more interesting.

fullonline: What do you think about people sharing music through mp3 instead of buying it?

Phanatic: Well, well... There are 2 sides of the coin, one is good and one is bad... The bad side is when people share the music it's like they steal from the artist his Livelihood, but the good side is sharing music by internet is a huge promotion for the artist... I don't think people should share the music in net... If they hear by net and buy original copy so it's good for both.

fullonline: You launched your website www.phanatic-music.com and it is being updated frequently. What are the next plans for the site?

Phanatic: First I build this website for my fans, or the people who want to update about my project the website is updating everyday there's a nice gallery from parties \ festivals I played you can find my biography and even my gear list (in studio) the next steps of the website is to build a guestbook or forum then the people can ask their questions and I will try to answer as soon as I can.

fullonline: How do you prepare your Live Acts? What you usually chance in each different Live Act?

Phanatic: I make my Live Act in 2 different programs (Cubase or Live Ableton5).
I like to change my Live from show to show. It depends where I play and then I know with which track I open and which track I close my live, etc...

fullonline: You prefer to play a DJ set or a Live Act? Why?

Phanatic: Live and after DJ set

fullonline: In your DJ sets you usually play tracks from which other artists? What makes a good DJ?

Phanatic: In my DJ sets I don't play the music because the artist, I play just good quality music.

fullonline: What makes a good party? You think decoration is important?

Phanatic: Well, there's couple of very important things to make a good party.
First of all is a killer decoration (90% from the deco is connected to the atmosphere that will be in the party)!! Then a good sound system! A nice place and a good artist! But the most important thing is the people!!!

fullonline: What do you think people should do to make a better scene? Any visions about the future?

Phanatic: They should support the artists more... Support the party promoters more... This is the way to make the scene bigger!

fullonline: How long does it take for you to make a new track, from the ideas and inspirations to the dance floor? Any hint for a person who is starting making psytrance?

Phanatic: Depend in the mood of the same moment... Once I finished track in 4 days and once I finished in one and half month... There's is no rules in producing.

fullonline: What is your favorite psychoactive molecule?

Phanatic: I'm not using drugs, I don't drink caffeine, I don't smoke nicotine and sometimes I drink some good quality alcohol (jegermister , Redbull Vodka, etc...)

fullonline: We all know that all kind of weird stuff happen at psychedelic gatherings. Can you tell us something different/funny that you saw or happened to you in a party?

Phanatic: I finished to play my Live in Mexico and one girl take off her underwear and ask me to sign It was weird (and fun heheheh).

Phanatic: Don't think too much, enjoy life we live just one time
